Clinical and academic experience in general surgery, gastroenterological surgery and transplantation.

Prof. Dr. Necdet Özçay specialises in General Surgery and Gastroenterological Surgery. After İzmir Atatürk High School, he graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1987. He completed General Surgery training at Ankara Numune Hospital and subspecialty training in Gastroenterological Surgery at Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Hospital. He became an associate professor in 2003 and a professor of General Surgery in 2018. His background includes organ transplantation training and research in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, and clinical roles in state, private and university hospitals. He currently practises at VM Medical Park Ankara (Keçiören).
